"Chatsworth Farm Through the Seasons" subscription visits
One of our Open Farm Days visitors gave us a really neat idea (thanks, Tess!), and we've decided to run with it!
We've decided to offer an annual farm visit subscription, which we're calling "Chatsworth Farm Through the Seasons".
A limited number of spots will be available, and you'll get to enjoy five visits to the farm at prime times through the year: harvest (September), winter (January), calving season (March), lambing season (May), and checking pastures (June). These visits will give you a chance to explore the farm more and take in other aspects of our farm's seasonal activities.
Each visit will treat you to something new and different, and you'll get to be involved with us on the farm one-on-one, as Covid-19 restrictions allow (we'll be social distancing, wearing masks, and will have hand sanitizer available, and most of our time will be outdoors).
There are 10 spots available for each visit:
The cost is $20 per person for the individual farm visits; children under 5 are free, and kids from 5-10 years old are $10 each.
If you're not able to commit to an entire five-visit subscription, you can also buy visits individually. The cut-off for registration will be about a week before each visit, to give us time on the farm to plan appropriately.
Please send us an email if you're interested or would like to book.

A very kind review from Mikhaila after she visited our farm for Alberta Open Farm Days in August 2020:
Visiting Chatsworth Farm for Alberta Open Farm Days 2020 was a fantastic experience. Every COVID-19 precaution was followed and tour groups were appropriately spaced, and I felt very safe the whole time. I learned so much not only about the way a farm functions, but how connected farm communities really are. I loved seeing all the animals (I love Lizzy!), and it was great to see the chicks who had hatched in an incubator a few days before -- they’d developed so much in such a short period of time! Rosie the lamb was a great example of how different farms help each other out; her mother had twins and couldn’t support both, so Chatsworth took her from a neighbouring farm to raise her. Being able to purchase items from the farm and Old School Cheesery was a bonus (we even got a recommendation for a new poutine place in Sherwood Park that carries Old School Cheesery’s products!), and we enjoyed everything we bought. I will definitely be back!"
A very kind review from Jason and Alexandra after their family visited our farm for a family farm tour in June 2021:
We had a most wonderful day at Chatsworth Farm. Thank you for opening your gates to us and your entire family was warm and welcoming. Charlotte, your passion and knowledge of agriculture shone through in your lectures. We always understood the role of farming as hands on and 24/7/365, but until we saw it and experienced just a sliver of what you all do, wow.
The kids were amazed by each animal, even if their attention was largely consumed by those kittens. I think it was simply because they could hold and carry one around - thank you for that. Your social media and other tools you use to reach a broader community, is something we will continue to follow and watch.
As city-folk, the work that farmers like you all do, is often lost in the hustle, bustle and convince of our supermarkets. Thank a Farmer.
Thank you Chatsworth Farm!
All of our dates will be pre-scheduled for the year (which means they'll go ahead regardless of the weather, and we'll have a Plan B for inclement weather), and will include a meal or snacks; for example, our harvest visit includes a homemade "meal in the field" -- our beef and garden vegetables, followed by dessert. We hope you can join us for this exciting experience!
