About our Turkeys
2022 hatched turkeys will be available for Easter 2023
The turkeys we raise are hatched from eggs laid by our breeding females and the birds are pasture-raised in the warm months eating grass, our custom blended grains which are grown on our farm, and extra vegetables and fruits from the garden. They don't receive any antibiotics or animal by-products; no turkeys raised in Canada receive growth hormones. In the colder months, they live inside as all of our poultry do since the weather in our part of Alberta is too harsh.
There is no rushing mother nature or the turkey's natural breeding season so these turkeys are ready when they are ready! These heritage turkeys grow more slowly than commercial breeds and they produce the perfect smaller, family sized-bird with amazing flavour ready for butchering in late November/December at the earliest.
We raise a limited number of turkeys, so fill out the form below to reserve your birds, especially for the holiday season later in the year.
As of 2022, the price for a whole turkey is $6/lb. They average about 10-15 pounds.
